Bárbara Borges meets Marlene Mattos after criticizing Xuxa: "Important"
Former Paquita Bárbara Borges, 47, celebrated a reunion with Marlene Mattos, 76, last Sunday (15). The winner of Record's "A Fazenda" praised the director of the programs that Xuxa, 63, had on television, and who also accompanied her at the beginning of her career.
"Life has these beautiful turns. Marlene Mattos is a very important person who is part of the story of my life but the true value of our reunion is not in the past we lived in (and which I will always be happy to remember!), but in the opportunity to get to know who we are today", he wrote.
In one of the photos, Bárbara Borges appears with the director and her boyfriend, actor Iran Malfitano, at the São Cristóvão Fair, in Rio de Janeiro, where Marlene is the marketing and events manager.
Andréa Sorvetão, partner from her paquita days, celebrated the meeting between Bárbara and Marlene. "Ah, special date," she wrote. "What a nice reunion", said Iran.
Breakup
Bárbara Borges criticized Xuxa after the screening of the documentary "Para Semper Paquitas", by Globoplay, in 2025.
The actress stated that the presenter "continued in her omission, blindness and self-centeredness" during the time that Marlene Mattos directed the program in which they were part.
She explained that there were "many stories within the same story", but stated that she was very grateful for all the opportunities she had as a paquita.
After the outburst, Bárbara and Xuxa were no longer seen together. The actress wasn't even called to the Queen of Shorty's farewell tour this year.
