Banco do Brasil announces R$210 billion for the 2026/27 harvest

Banco do Brasil announced this Friday (3) R$210 billion to finance the 2026/27 harvest. According to the institution, the resources will be allocated to funding, investment, commercialization and industrialization operations.

Of the total announced, around R$40 billion will be directed to small and medium-sized rural producers. The other R$170 billion will serve corporate agriculture. Of this amount, R$25 billion will be allocated to financing the agribusiness value chain.

According to the bank, in the 2025/26 harvest, R$209 billion were disbursed in approximately 500 thousand operations, covering more than 200 agricultural activities in all regions of the country.

The amount includes R$36.6 billion in credit extensions carried out through Provisional Measure 1,314/2025, for debt renegotiation.

In a note, the bank's vice-president of Agribusiness and Family Farming, Gilson Bittencourt, stated that investments made in recent cycles contributed to an increase in agricultural productivity and stated that the institution intends to maintain financial support for rural producers during the 2026/27 harvest.
