Bahrain claims to have intercepted three Iranian missiles

Bahrain reported this Saturday (6) that it successfully intercepted and destroyed three missiles and several drones launched by Iran.

The United States also intercepted a wave of ballistic missiles and drones fired by Iran toward Kuwait and Bahrain in an overnight attack, according to U.S. Central Command.

Tehran "continues its systematic aggression through its criminal missile and drone attacks against civilians in the Kingdom of Bahrain," the country's defense force said in a statement.

The note did not specify exactly when the missiles were launched, but residents of Bahrain were advised during the night to seek shelter in safe places after the sirens were activated.

"The General Command reaffirms that all its weapons and units are at the highest level of readiness and fully prepared to defend the Kingdom", Bahrain's defense force declared today, classifying the attack as a "flagrant violation of international humanitarian law".

Meanwhile, Kuwait also said it strongly condemns the "repeated and criminal Iranian attacks", the most recent of which, according to the government, occurred this morning.

"The State of Kuwait reserves the full right to adopt all necessary measures to preserve its security and defend its territory," the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
