Away from TV for three years, what is Faustão's health?

Away from the spotlight for the last three years due to health problems, presenter Fausto Silva, known as Faustão, 76, remains stable, enjoying life outside of television with his family.

In a recent interview with Maurício Meirelles' channel AchismosTV, João Silva, 22, the artist's son, revealed that his father loves watching Brazilian productions and following the internet on Instagram.

"He's a big fan of reels. If you look at his Instagram, it's really good. And he gets mad if you don't watch it. We have a family group: me, my sister, my brother and my mother, and he sends about 40 reels a day", he shared.

During the program, João was asked about Faustão's possible return to Brazilian television. In response, the heir stated that the family is waiting for him to "recover 100%" before making any decision.

Since the beginning of 2026, the veteran has occasionally appeared in clicks accompanied by friends and family. At the end of April, he was filmed by the breeder specializing in the Italian Cane Corso dog breed, Victor Gabriel, after receiving a puppy.

In the video, Victor thanks Faustão and says that the presenter was one of the pioneers in bringing and investing in this breed of dogs in Brazil. What surprised fans was that the artist was not in the wheelchair that has supported him recently.

Last week, Fausto also appeared in a record in which he celebrated the birthday of his youngest son, Rodrigo, who turned 18 years old.

The veteran's first retirement occurred at the beginning of 2022. After being away from his Band program for around a year and a half, Faustão had to undergo a heart transplant in 2023 and a kidney transplant in 2024.

Already weakened and in need of medical assistance, the presenter decided to distance himself from the artistic world completely. At the end of 2025, the family also announced that he underwent two more surgeries, totaling four transplants, to receive a new liver and replace a kidney.
