Away from home, Corinthians Futsal wins the MX7 Diadema and takes the lead in the Campeonato Paulista

Throughout the night of this Tuesday (16), Corinthians visited MX7 Diadema, at Ginásio Poliesportivo Parque Celso Daniel, ABC Paulista, in a duel valid for the seventh round of the classification phase of the 2026 Paulista Futsal Championship, and won by the score of 3 x 2. Timão's goals were scored by Patrik, Fellype Bancatelli and Vinicius Dias.

With the result, the Corinthian team took the lead in the state with 16 points - five wins, one draw and one defeat - 22 goals scored and seven conceded. Coach Fernando Malafaia chose the following team to start the match: Kelvin, Igor Bredof, Caio Barros, Rick and Da Bonja. The substitutes bench had: Vitor Koji, Lucas Martins, Vinicius Paiva, Kaio Lopes, Patrick, Fellype Bancatelli, Caio Barros, Papagaio, Davi and Michel Camargo.

The opponent took to the court with: Stradi, Morgado, Toledo, Dellatorre and Victinho. Timão ended the first half winning by a score of 2 x 1, suffered a draw in the middle of the second half and scored the third and final goal with just two minutes remaining.

Corinthians started the first half by pressing the ball out of the Diadema team intensely and dominating the match. The rival even tried to scare at times and demanded good saves from goalkeeper Kelvin. The final stage, in turn, was marked by a start with many passing errors. However, during the second half he improved and had several chances to score. The ABC Paulista team tied the match after a lateral play, but Alvinegro regained the lead in the final moments and asserted its superiority in the confrontation.

After beating MX7 Diadema, away from home, in the state championship of the sport, Corinthians resumes its focus on competing in the National Futsal League. Next Sunday (21), at 11am (Brasília time), Alvinegro will visit Campo Mourão, in Paraná, in a match valid for the ninth round of the classification phase of the national competition. Currently, Timão occupies only 13th place out of 16 teams, with five points, and faces a long negative sequence in the competition.
