Forward Bernard, who belongs to Atlético-MG, gave an interview to Rádio 98FM and commented that, in mid-2024, he even talked to other Serie A teams before returning to the Minas Gerais team and one of them was Corinthians. In his second spell in Minas Gerais, he scored 10 goals and four assists in 107 games.

"We even talked to Corinthians, Flamengo, Palmeiras too... This was more than once. He even (offered more money than Atlético). I didn't talk about it, but there were these proposals, yes. But I wanted to return to Galo, I had promised and it was my wish", he began.

In the 2022 season, when he played for Al-Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates, he was even speculated about at Corinthians, but, at the time, he denied that he had conversations with the Parque São Jorge club: "There were many, three, four proposals to be able to return. But whenever my manager brought him, I said 'Look, Adriano, I don't want to listen, I want to talk to Galo, reach a consensus for my return. I didn't think about holding an auction, I just wanted to talk to the board to be able to return", he said.

Revealed in the youth categories of Atlético-MG, where he has three state titles (2013, 2015 and 2025) and one Conmebol Libertadores (2013). Before starting his second spell at the Minas Gerais club, he played for Shakthar Donetsk, from Ukraine; Everton, from England; Al-Sharjah, from the United Arab Emirates and Panathinaikos, from Greece.
