Atlas/Bloomberg: More than 50% say Brazil's economic situation is bad
The majority of Brazilians (52%) evaluate Brazil's economic situation as bad, according to the Atlas/Bloomberg Latam Pulse sample released this Thursday (28). On the other hand, 37% classify it as good, while 11% consider it normal.
The negative view of the Brazilian economy is inverted in relation to economic expectations for the next six months.
According to the survey, 45% of Brazilians believe that the country's economic situation will improve, while 19% say it will stay the same and 37% believe it will get worse.
In family terms, 40% of Brazilians believe that their family's economic situation is currently good, while 43% think it will improve in the next six months.
33% classify it as bad, with 27% of Brazilians expecting the situation to worsen.
Today, 27% consider the family situation to be normal, and 30% believe it will remain that way in six months.
The current employment situation in the country is well regarded by Brazilians. Around 47% believe that the job market scenario is good, while 18% consider it normal and 36% believe it is bad.

In six months' time, 43% believe it will improve, while those who believe in the situation being stable and getting worse are tied, at 29%.
The perception of inflation has also improved. In May, the assessment of current inflation fell 0.5 percentage points, reaching 5.8%, while expectations for the coming months fell 0.2 percentage points, to 5%.
As a result, most Brazilians believe in the advancement of consumption. Almost 38% say they intend to make more purchases of durable goods, a 7% jump compared to the previous month.
The May survey included around five thousand participants from the adult population (aged 16 to 100) and was carried out between May 13th and 18th. The margin of error is one percentage point, plus or minus, with a 95% confidence level.
