Corinthians won again in the National Futsal League (LNF) last Saturday, beating Tubarão Futsal 3-1, at Ginásio Wlamir Marques. In addition to putting an end to a sequence of seven matches without triumphs in the competition, the result highlighted a striking characteristic of the team in 2026: the protagonism of players trained in the youth categories.
The three winning goals were scored by athletes revealed by the club. Vini Paiva found the net twice, while Igor Bredof completed the scoring, reinforcing the strong participation of young people in the team's offensive production throughout the season.

So far, the squad led by Fernando Malafaia has played 23 matches and scored 53 goals, averaging 2.30 goals per game. Of this total, 29 goals came from players from Parque São Jorge's youth teams, which represents 54.7% of all goals scored by the team this year.
The main name in this group is winger Maicon, Corinthians' current top scorer in 2026, with ten goals scored. Right behind is the regular Lucas Martins, who has six goals. The two already have an established career among professionals: Maicon, 21, is competing in his fourth season with the main team, while Lucas, at 25, is in his sixth year with the adult squad.
Following the list of goalscorers trained at the academy are Vini Paiva, Fellype Bancatelli and Igor Bredof, all with three goals. Paiva was promoted to the main team this season, while Bancatelli and Bredof are experiencing the second most frequent year of participation among professionals.
Patrick, Vini Dias, Kaio Lopes and Papagaio complete the list, each with a goal scored. Of these athletes, only Papagaio has been part of the professional squad since 2023. The others debuted in 2026 and continue to divide their performances between the main team and the Under-20s.
The numbers also reflect the strategy adopted by the board in the midst of the club's financial scenario. With a debt close to R$2.7 billion, Corinthians opted to reduce costs and reformulated the squad after the campaigns that took the team to the LNF and Campeonato Paulista finals last season.
The focus on players trained at home is evident in the use of the squad. Of the 22 athletes who have already taken to the court in 2026, 14 have passed through the club's youth categories, which corresponds to 63.6% of the players used by Fernando Malafaia.
The next opportunity to increase these numbers will be on Tuesday, at 8pm. Corinthians hosts Wimpro Guarulhos, again at Ginásio Wlamir Marques, in a duel valid for the seventh round of the Campeonato Paulista. Traditionally, the state competition has been used by the technical committee to give more minutes to young people revealed by the club.
