At an event, Flávio says that Lula appears to be "head of the PCC"
Presidency candidate Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) said this Monday (8) that President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) looks like "the head of the PCC" during an event with businesspeople in São Paulo.
"[The classification] is the biggest opportunity we have to put an end to this parallel power, which is what they are. So there doesn't have to be tolerance, there has to be unity on our part. Then you look at the president of Brazil, he thinks the opposite. It seems like he is the head of the PCC. Many people start to think about that", said Flávio.
The statement, made during the Voto group's lunch at Palácio Tangará, was due to Planalto's opposing stance in the face of the United States' decision to classify the PCC (Primeiro Comando da Capital) and Comando Vermelho as terrorist organizations.
The position defended by the Lula government is that neither group has political or religious motivations, essential for the classification of terrorism, and that the United States would be harming Brazil's sovereignty.
Sought by CNN, the president's advisors did not comment on the senator's statements. The space remains open.
