The executive secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Rogério Ceron, highlighted this Monday (25) the pragmatism of the mixed financing model program.

The speech was made during the Eco Invest Brasil event, which reveals the results of the program's 4th auction and officially launches the initiative's 5th auction.

According to him, the results have been very positive.

"We moved more than R$ 140 billion and we advanced gradually. The first edition consolidated the program with advances in the debt market, the second consolidated the recovery of more degraded lands, the third focused on [private] equity was one of the most important for our trajectory", he said.

Ceron also reinforced that the bioeconomy is the last front of advancement, and that monitoring it over the years is essential.

During the event, in addition to the Finance Ministers, Dario Durigan; and Environment, João Paulo Capobianco; Ceron was responsible for the technical presentation of the program's 5th auction.

The Eco Invest Brasil auction works as a competitive dispute between financial institutions to determine who can attract the largest volume of private capital, whether national or foreign, for sustainable projects using the smallest possible amount of public resources.

According to official data released by the Ministries of Finance and the Environment, the Eco Invest Brasil program had already mobilized more than R$75 billion in sustainable investments by the launch of the fourth round.

This year, entrepreneurship panels on innovation and integration for economic development stood out at the event, covering topics such as strategic value chains, integration between universities and industry, and technology-based entrepreneurship and innovation.
