Asian stock exchanges closed without a single direction this Thursday (11), after a new sell-off in shares linked to artificial intelligence, which brought down markets in New York, and the most recent exchange of attacks between the United States and Iran.

The Japanese Nikkei index closed trading in Tokyo with a marginal increase of 0.06%, at 64,217.27 points, reversing losses from earlier in the session. In Seoul, the South Korean Kospi had a modest increase of 0.43%, at 7,763.95 points.

The Hang Seng fell 0.65% in Hong Kong, to 24,249.29 points, and the Taiex fell 0.18% in Taiwan, to 43,149.46 points.

In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite recorded a slight drop of 0.16%, to 3,987.01 points, and the less comprehensive Shenzhen Composite fell 0.66%, to 2,670.73 points.

Yesterday, Wall Street suffered heavy widespread losses, led by the Nasdaq - an index made up mainly of technology stocks -, amid persistent concerns about the excessive appreciation of stocks related to the AI boom.

On a geopolitical level, the US and Iran have exchanged new attacks in recent hours, but Washington claimed to have "completed" the most recent round of bombings. At the end of the morning, Brent oil - an international reference - fell more than 1%.

In Oceania, the Australian stock market was in the red today, with a drop of 0.23% on the S&P/ASX 200 in Sydney, at 8,633.20 points.
