The soap opera "Quem Ama Cuida" will give space to a device often used in successful soap operas: "who killed?". Businessman Arthur Brandão (Antonio Fagundes) will be killed by a character not yet revealed in next Monday's episode (1st), generating doubt in the public throughout the plot. This tactic has been used in other productions in the past.

From "Vale Tudo" to "O Astro", remember some of the main mysteries involving deaths in Brazilian soap operas.

"Vale Tudo" (1988/2025)
In 1988, in the middle of Christmas week, the public was distressed by the mystery surrounding the death of Odete Roitman (Beatriz Segall) in "Vale Tudo". After more than a week, authors Gilberto Braga (1945-2021), Aguinaldo Silva and Leonor Bassères (1926-2004) finally revealed who was responsible for the crime.

Leila (Cássia Kis) took action after discovering that her husband Marco Aurélio (Reginaldo Faria) was cheating on her with Maria de Fátima (Gloria Pires). Furious, she broke into the house where the two were and fired a shot at the door, but little did she know that the owner of the company TCA was there after discovering that she was robbed by her right-hand man.

In the remake, Marco Aurélio (Alexandre Nero) shot Odete (Debora Bloch), but the villain ended up surviving and faking her own death.

"Pedra Sobre Pedra" (1992)
Seductive, Jorge Tadeu (Fábio Jr.) was killed at a certain point in history. He kept appearing to women who ate the flower that grew on the bush he urinated on when he was still alive.

In the penultimate, it was revealed that the blessed Gioconda Pontes (Eloísa Mafalda) murdered the man after discovering that he had an affair with Úrsula (Andréa Beltrão), her only daughter.

"The Next Victim" (1995)
A plot full of murders, "The Next Victim" spent almost the entire plot with mysteries. Several characters died at the hands of the serial killer who killed according to a Chinese horoscope list. Recorded hours before airing, the ending with Adalberto (Cecil Thiré) as the person responsible for the crimes was chosen by the management.

However, a version with Ulisses (Otávio Augusto) as the killer was shown on Globo in Portugal and also on "Vale a Pena Ver de Novo", in 2000.

"Celebridade" (2003)
Gilberto Braga established another "who killed" in "Celebridade", a soap opera that marked the time in which it was shown. Lineu Vasconcelos (Hugo Carvana) was killed and his killer remained hidden for several chapters, something that became a debate on programs and in magazines.

Globo recorded three endings, but the one chosen was the ending with the villain Laura (Cláudia Abreu) as a murderer.

"Insensato Coração" (2011)
Repeating his magic formula, Gilberto Braga reproduced the issue in "Insensato Coração". In the plot, he established the mystery involving the character Norma (Gloria Pires), and no less than 12 characters became suspects in the crime. In the end, Wanda (Natália do Vale) was revealed as the criminal, having taken action to free Léo (Gabriel Braga Nunes) from jail.

"O Astro" (1977/2011)
More than 10 years before "Vale Tudo", the mystery hovered around "who killed Salomão Hayalla?". In 1977, Dionísio Azevedo played the businessman who was murdered by Felipe Cerqueira (Edwin Luisi), Clô's (Tereza Rachel) lover. In the 2011 remake, Salomão, played by Daniel Filho, was killed by Clô (Regina Duarte), his wife.
