Ariana Grande releases first single from new musical era; listen
Ariana Grande, 32, officially began the new musical era by releasing the first single from the album "Petal".
The singer released "Hate That I Made You Love Me" on Thursday night (28). She also announced a music video for the song, which features actor Justin Long, known for works such as "He's Not So A Fim of You" (2009) and "A Hora do Mal" (2025).
The video is scheduled to premiere next Monday (1st).
The full album should be released on July 31st. This is the eighth project in Ariana's career as a singer and she has already said that "Petal" brings out a side that she has avoided exploring until then.
"It's about something full of life growing through the cracks of something cold, hard and challenging. It's kind of about breaking away from different types of negative attachments, whether it's my own monsters in my head, external voices or things that no longer serve me," he said.
The actress performed with "Wicked" last year and stated that the album also presents a more impulsive side of her personality, different from what she used to show publicly.
"It comes from a place that perhaps I was too shy or polite to explore before, and it just has a 'screw it' feel."
Ariana's last work was with "Eternal Sunshine", in 2024, which has hits like "We Can't Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)" and "Yes, And?".
