Ariana Grande launches Brighter Days Ahead, LGBT+ foundation

Singer Ariana Grande, 32, opened a foundation to support vulnerable LGBT+ people. "Brighter Days Ahead" aims to directly fund small organizations that provide protection, support and resources to vulnerable communities."

The artist announced the news through her Instagram profile this Friday (12).

"I am extremely happy to finally announce the Brighter Days Ahead Foundation. Through four different funds, we will support several incredible organizations that provide the safe space and care that is so needed at this time," said the singer.

Ariana Grande also stated that it has been a privilege to be able to support these causes on her own over the years.

According to the official statement, the foundation focuses on protecting the rights of LGBT+ people, expanding access to mental health care and responding with care and compassion in times of crisis. Furthermore, the entity also defends justice and equality.

The announcement also explains that the foundation is organized around four strategic pillars:

- Protect & Defend Fund: Focusing on the fight for civil rights, reproductive justice and LGBTQ+ rights, ensuring safe and welcoming environments.
- Heal & Dream Fund: Aims at access to mental health and community support, promoting psychological support.
- Seen & Celebrated Fund: To ensure that LGBT+ voices are heard globally.
- Emergency Support Fund: Focusing on rapid measures to act with humanitarian aid and immediate resources.

This is not the first time that Ariana Grande has taken a stand in favor of the rights of the LGBT+ population. She frequently speaks out about defending civil rights and queer pride, whether at her shows or on social media.
