Argentine player's family found dead after earthquakes in Venezuela

The wife and two children of Argentine defender Lucas Trejo were found dead this Saturday (27) in Venezuela.

The bodies were located after days of searching in the rubble left behind by the earthquakes that devastated the country.

The player's club, Deportivo La Guaira, confirmed the deaths in a statement published on social media.

The victims were identified as Yani Maranella, the athlete's wife, and the couple's children, Aarón and Ainhoa Trejo. They were in the residential complex where they lived in the Playa Grande region, in the state of La Guaíra - one of the places hardest hit by the earthquakes.

The number of deaths following the earthquakes on Wednesday (24) in Venezuela reached 1,430, according to information from official authorities in the country.

Another 3,200 people were injured and 3,142 were left homeless by the disaster.
