Argentina: Messi's reaction at airport security inspection goes viral

An unusual scene involving Lionel Messi caught the attention of fans on social media. The Argentine star appeared laughing during a routine security check at Miami Airport.

Messi, the World Cup's top scorer with six goals, was inspected by a metal detector when he showed good humor alongside his teammates. Watch the video below.

The reason for the relaxed atmosphere began when a large lighter was shown by a security officer. According to the newspaper "Diário La Capital", defender Cristian Romero would be the owner of the object.

Also according to the publication, Romero usually uses the lighter to perform a type of energy cleansing ritual with incense and palo santo (aromatic wood). The practice was adopted by the player at the World Cup in Qatar in 2022.
