With the 2026 World Cup approaching, thousands of Brazilians are already preparing to embark for the United States, Canada and Mexico. To avoid disruptions at airports, Brazilian authorities have reinforced guidelines on baggage, transportation of electronics and health documentation required for international travel.

One of the main changes involves portable chargers, known as power banks. The new rules from Anac (National Civil Aviation Agency) determine that devices must be transported exclusively in hand luggage. Dispatch of equipment is prohibited for security reasons.

Each passenger can take up to two devices with a capacity of up to 100 Wh. Equipment between 100 Wh and 160 Wh requires prior authorization from the airline, while higher capacities are prohibited. Additionally, devices cannot be used or recharged during the flight.

Travelers also need to be aware of restrictions on liquids on international flights. Bottles with liquids, creams, gels, pastes or aerosols must have a maximum capacity of 100 ml and be contained in a single transparent and sealable plastic packaging of up to one liter. The container must be presented separately during the safety inspection.

Medications for continuous use, infant formulas and items needed for medical reasons follow specific rules. In these cases, the recommendation is that the passenger keeps prescriptions or medical reports on hand for possible verification with the airport authorities.

In addition to baggage rules, federal agencies warn of the importance of health documentation. Depending on the country of destination or planned connections, presentation of the International Certificate of Vaccination and Prophylaxis may be required.

Before heading to the airport, it is also recommended to check the validity of your passport, check the airline's rules and check your luggage to ensure that all items are within transport regulations. The measure can avoid delays, retention of objects during inspection and other setbacks that often affect passengers on international trips.
