Anitta gives spoilers and sings new song from "EQUILIBRIVM part 2"
Singer Anitta, 33, used social media to announce that the release of "EQUILIBRIVM" is not over yet. This Wednesday (8), the artist published a video performing a new track from part two of the album released in April. In the caption, she wrote "It's coming", increasing fans' expectations about the continuation of the musical project.
The album, which is her eighth, was marked by an introspective phase and linked to Anitta's spirituality, bringing elements of popular culture and Candomblé, the religion practiced by the singer. In the project, she mixes her pop side with her Brazilian roots, in songs that move between funk, reggae, ijexá and samba.
Going beyond the sound that ties the drums of the terreiro to the beats of international pop, the new phase stands out as one of the most ambitious visual projects of his career. The engineering behind the immersive and ritualistic aesthetic was carried out by Ginga Pictures, the artist's long-time partner production company.
On the Brazilian music chart, the artist reached 10th place with "Meia-Noite", one of her most popular new songs, with more than 726 thousand reproductions. "Desgraça", which opens the work, reached 14th place, with 650 thousand plays, while "Mandinga", a partnership with Marina Sena, reached 16th place in the ranking with almost 650 thousand listens.
Despite the great repercussion on social media, "Choka Choka", the first major single and the first partnership with Colombian Shakira, did not secure a place among the most listened to "Equilibrium". The collaboration ranked 19th with over 588,000 streams.
