Anitta announces venues for 'Equilibrivm' tour without any stadium - and she has reason to do so

Anitta announced this Thursday (28) the venues for the tour of her most recent album, "Equilibrivm". With all performances scheduled for the month of August, the tour will pass through: Porto Alegre (RS), São Paulo (SP), Fortaleza (CE), Niterói (RJ) and Salvador (BA). Of the five events, only São Paulo did not have the show location revealed.
Anitta's choices come at a time when artists of the most varied genres and with a lot (or not so much) appeal are investing in stadium performances. Even though she is one of the biggest artists in the country, she decided to go down a path of smaller shows in open spaces.
The public at the announced venues varies between around 10 and 20 thousand people. The largest are Caminho Niemeyer, in Niterói, and the Salvador Convention Center.
If those who don't follow Anitta's career closely might find the pop star's decision strange, she has already spoken a few times about why a stadium show is not on her horizon.
'Equilibrivm': Anitta shows a good phase, but loses strength in tracks for abroad
In an interview with influencer Hugo Gloss shortly after the release of "Equilibrivm", the singer had already said that the shows on her tour would be in spaces where the public could have closer contact with her, but that could also accommodate the structure of a pop diva show.
"I want to play a lot with light, with the scene. The stage will be important, how people will see it, where people will see it from, the acoustics are important. It's not that simple to do a show like that", he explained.
"There aren't many places to do shows in Brazil. You're stuck with a football stadium. The concert hall is very small. It had to be an ideal size and I don't want one either. stadium."

She had already complained about the lack of variety of concert halls with facilities for mega shows. In an Instagram live held with fans in 2023, the artist opened up.
"I already told you that I don't have much patience for this stadium show thing. In Rio [de Janeiro] it's not possible, I'm too excited to hold an event", she stated, adding that only the Nilton Santos stadium is a viable option. "All the events are there, you want to make a difference and you can't."

Anitta also said that her "problem" with stadium shows is linked to the distance between the public and the artist.
"I prefer to do it in a smaller place, on several dates, because then people can see you. Real life, you know. To see it on the big screen, watch it on TV. Stay at home."
For her new show, Anitta said that the public will watch a new show, from a new era focused almost exclusively on the album "Equilibrivm", with a stage and all the visual identity planned for these presentations.
The repertoire will also have few old songs - and all of them will have some connection with the new work.
