Aneel (National Electric Energy Agency) disabled the EBrasil/Celne Consortium of the 2028 Thermoelectric Power Product from the LRCap (Capacity Reserve Auction). The decision was published in the DOU (Official Gazette of the Union) this Thursday (22).

According to an order from the agency's Permanent Auction Committee, the project in question is the Monte Fuji M1 thermoelectric plant, registered in the tender with 298.99 MW of installed power.

The consortium is formed by EBrasil, with a 99% stake, and Celne (Centrais Elétricas do Nordeste), with 1%. The plant was expected to come into operation in 2028 in Pernambuco. The planned investment was R$1.56 billion.

This Wednesday (21), Aneel's collegiate board unanimously approved the results of the 2026 thermoelectric plants and decided to formally inform the Federal Audit Court (TCU) about the deliberation.
