Russian Mirra Andreeva won the Roland Garros title this Saturday (6) for the first time in her career. Seeded number 8 in the tournament, the tennis player defeated Polish Maja Chwalinska, the tournament's underdog, by 2 sets to 0, with scores of 6/3 and 6/2, in the final held in Paris.

With the triumph, Andreeva lifted her first Grand Slam trophy at the age of 19 and confirmed her rise among the main names on the women's circuit.

The young Russian also became the first teenager to win Roland Garros since Poland's Iga Swiatek, champion of the competition in 2020.

Andreeva had already made history by being the fifth youngest to reach a Roland Garros final in the last 30 years.
