Carlo Ancelotti may have another challenge to define the Brazilian team's lineup in the round of 16 of the World Cup. After losing Wesley before the start of the tournament and seeing Raphinha injured during the group stage, the coach is now awaiting the results of tests on Lucas Paquetá, who left the 2-1 victory over Japan with pain in his left thigh.

The midfielder will be re-evaluated this Tuesday, 30th, in Morristown, where the Brazilian delegation is concentrated. The protocol is similar to that adopted with Raphinha, who suffered an injury to her right thigh against Haiti and is still undergoing treatment in an attempt to be available for a possible quarter-final clash.

If Paquetá is vetoed, Ancelotti will need to change the team again. Against Japan, Endrick came on in his place, but had difficulty influencing the offensive sector at a time when Brazil was looking for a reaction on the scoreboard. Martinelli, who came off the bench to score the winning goal, appears as one of the main candidates to gain space among the starters.

Other alternatives in the squad are Danilo Santos and Igor Thiago, depending on the tactical design chosen by the Italian coach. Neymar, who returned to the field in the final stretch of the group stage after recovering from a calf injury, still does not have the physical conditions to play during the 90 minutes, which limits the coaching staff's options.

While awaiting Paquetá's situation, Brazil is also awaiting the definition of its opponent in the round of 16 of the World Cup, which will come out of the clash between Ivory Coast and Norway, which takes place this Tuesday, at 2pm (Brasília time).
