Ancelotti reveals he already has a starting team for his debut against Morocco in the World Cup
The 2-1 victory over Egypt, this Saturday, served as the last laboratory for the Brazilian team before their debut in the World Cup. And, according to Carlo Ancelotti, it was also enough to put an end to any doubts about the team's initial formation.
After the friendly played in Cleveland, the coach revealed that he has already defined the lineup he intends to use against Morocco, the opponent of Brazil's debut on June 13th, in Group C of the World Cup.
"I have the starting lineup to play against Morocco, yes, I already do, the idea is clear", said the coach at a press conference.
The confrontation against the Egyptians brought some positive responses to the coaching staff. One of them was the team's offensive performance, especially on the left side of the attack. Ancelotti praised the performance of the duo formed by Vinicius Júnior and Raphinha, responsible for most of the main plays created by Brazil.
On the field, Brazil opened the scoring after just seven minutes, when Bruno Guimarães took advantage of a wrong departure from Egypt to find the net. The advantage, however, was short-lived. Four minutes later, a failure in the ball from the Brazilian defense allowed the Africans to equalize.
The friendly also brought concern. Starting on the right flank, Wesley felt his left groin in the first half, had to be replaced by Danilo and left the pitch crying.
In the final stage, Ancelotti made several changes and saw one of the players most sought after for a place in the attack decide the match. In the sixth minute, Endrick scored the winning goal for Brazil, reinforcing the good phase on the eve of the World Cup.
With preparation over, the Seleção will have this Sunday off before resuming training on Monday. From then on, all attention will be focused on the debut against Morocco, when Ancelotti's ideal team will finally be known.
