Ancelotti explains changes in Brazil's elimination: "Trying to win the game"

Brazil ended up beating Norway 2-1 this Sunday (5), in a match valid for the round of 16 of the World Cup. After the elimination, coach Carlo Ancelotti explained the option for his changes in the second half of the match.

"I think the game for one part was a good game, we had a lot of opportunities in the first half, in the second also when it was 0-0, then the changes were to add more freshness, give more depth to try to win the game", said the coach.

When leaving the field, Ancelotti did not appear to give an interview. Davide, son of the Italian and assistant for the Brazilian team, replaced his father on the occasion. The "CazéTV" report even questioned him about the absence of the head coach to talk about the elimination.

"I don't know. It's because of the moment of the game now, it's not a question for me", said Davide, former Botafogo coach.

Carlo Ancelotti took charge of the Brazilian team in May last year and renewed his contract before the World Cup. The coach's current contract with the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) runs until 2030.
