Ana Castela, Marina Sena, Gabriel o Pensador: What the Portuguese are listening to Brazilian music
What the Portuguese are listening to from the Brazilian music scene
Ana Castela, Marina Sena and Gabriel o Pensador are some of the Brazilian artists who are on the playlist of some Portuguese who visited Rock in Rio Lisboa.
The Portuguese edition of the festival began this Saturday (20) at Parque Tejo and featured several Brazilian artists on the stages.
But g1 visited Parque Tejo to find out what they know about Brazilian music besides the artists on stage. And who they still want to see at the event.
"From Brazil, there are only some by Marina Sena that I like", said Andreia, who pointed out the song "Numa Ilha" as her favorite by the artist.
"I don't know it. Only when it's on the radio. I dance, but I don't know it. So I don't know", said Débora, who accepted her friend Andreia's invitation to get to know the sound of Marina Sena.
In tune with Brazilian music, Guida listed several artists.
"It's not just Ivete Sangalo. I like the one who came here recently, Ana Castela. I really like it. Sepultura too, Pedro Sampaio... And the old ones, Roberto Carlos, Maria Bethânia and so many others."
A rap listener, Tiago stated that he really likes "Gabriel o Pensador, Racionais and things like that".
"The rest, funk, I don't hear that. I've heard Ivete Sangalo, who was here in 2009. It's not my style of music, but she's really popular... I would like Racionais to come here," he said.
"My daughter listens to Pedro Sampaio. I don't. In the past, when I was young, I still listened to Netinho. But nothing else", said Ana. And João mentioned Jão. "I really like it."
