The Superintendency of Tariff Management and Economic Regulation of Aneel (National Electric Energy Agency) defined that the annual tariff adjustment in Cemig's concession area will be 6.5%, on average.

If the indication is approved by the agency's board, almost 10 million properties in Minas Gerais will have the index applied to their electricity bill starting next Thursday (28). The agency's board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday (26).

For residential consumers, the forecast is for an increase of 5.21%.

If confirmed, the percentage will be above the inflation estimated by the IPCA for the period, calculated at around 4.9%. The value follows the trend of the agency's latest decisions that have raised electricity tariffs above inflation projections.

For high voltage consumers, the average adjustment will be 9.43%, on average. And in Low Voltage, also 5.21%.

In the spreadsheet that shows what weighed and lightened the composition of the index, the Agency's technicians calculated that transmission costs rose 5.4%. Irrecoverable revenue grew 7.5%. On the other hand, energy acquisition costs fell 1.8%.
