Algoz from Brazil, Croatia reveal squads for the World Cup; look

The Croatian Football Federation confirmed, this Monday (1st), the 26 squad for the 2026 World Cup, in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

Semi-finalist in the 2022 World Cup and finalist in 2018, the Balkan team seeks to maintain the goal of continuing to reach the World Cup. In 2026, Croatia is in Group L, alongside England, Ghana and Panama.

Among those selected, the main highlight continues to be midfielder Luka Modric, multi-champion for Real Madrid and now at Milan. The experienced athlete, aged 40, arrives to probably compete in his last World Cup.

Other important international names also appear on coach Zlatko Dalic's list. These are the cases of striker Ivan Perisic, defender Gvardiol and midfielder Mateo Kovacic.

Croatia in the World Cup
Croatia debuts in the World Cup against a strong opponent. The Balkan team faces England, on June 17th, at 5pm (Brasília time), at the AT&T Stadium, in Dallas.

Next, the Croatian team faces Panama, at Toronto Field, in Toronto. Finally, the last match of the group stage will be against Ghana, at Lincoln Financial Field, in Philadelphia.
