Alex Escobar leaves World Cup coverage: 'I don't feel safe to continue'

Commentator Alex Escobar announced this Thursday (25) that he left Grupo Globo's coverage of the World Cup.
Escobar felt unwell while participating in the TV Globo program "Encontro", on Monday morning (22). He stated that he underwent tests and is fine.
In a post made on his Instagram account, the journalist explained that he has not gone through anything serious, but that he does not feel safe to continue.
"Friends of this network, I am leaving the coverage of the World Cup. Although nothing serious was discovered in the tests I carried out here in the States, I don't feel safe to continue. I spent these days thinking, evaluating, talking to Globo colleagues, family and the best thing to do now is to stop and resolve the B.O. Of course it remains a frustration, I was having a lot of fun, but I'm fine. Thank you for your kindness! I'll update the situation here.
