Alcolumbre defends dialogue and rural debt PL should be until June

The president of the Senate, Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP), defended dialogue before voting on the bill on the renegotiation of rural debts (PL 5122/23) with resources from the Pre-Salt Social Fund, ruling out the possibility of the plenary analyzing the project this Wednesday. Voting is expected in June.

The text has already been approved by the Senate's CAE (Economic Affairs Committee) this Wednesday afternoon (27), symbolically and sent urgently to the House, amid disagreements with the government.

During the Senate session, Alcolumbre said that he is building an "understanding" to be able to vote on the issue, right after the senators asked for the rural debt project to be included on this Wednesday's agenda.

The demonstration by the president of the House occurred after an appeal from senators for the rural debt project to be included in today's Senate agenda.

Alcolumbre also asked the senators to wait one to two weeks to begin the debate between the "parties involved" and then vote on it.

Among the parliamentarians of the FPA (Agricultural Parliamentary Front), there is a consensus that the project needs to be voted on before the Harvest Plan, scheduled for July.
