The vice-president, Geraldo Alckmin, stated this Monday (8), during the opening of the Bahia Farm Show, that the Brazilian government will work to avoid the entry into force of the tariffs announced by the United States and scheduled for July 15.


According to him, Brazilian agribusiness was "practically excluded" from the tariff measures discussed by the North Americans.


Alckmin also stated that the government will make an effort to resolve the obstacles involving Brazilian meat exports to the European Union.

During the event, the vice-president also cited China's recognition of Brazil as a country free from foot-and-mouth disease without vaccination and highlighted the start of fruit exports to the European Union within the scope of the agreement between Mercosur and the European Union.


In addition, he announced that exporters affected by instability in international trade will be able to access up to R$15 billion through the Brasil Soberano 2 program.
