Alain Prost is injured after being robbed in his own home

A group of robbers broke into Alain Prost's home last Tuesday morning (19), leaving the former Formula 1 driver with minor injuries and stealing the family safe.

According to the newspaper "Blick", the robbery took place at around 8:30 am (local time), at the residence that Prost owns in the city of Nyon, Switzerland. The criminals attacked the Frenchman and then forced his son to open the safe, escaping soon after.

After the incident, authorities took over the investigation and began a "large-scale" operation, according to the same source. Although it is not yet known exactly what was stolen, the newspaper highlights the former F1 driver's long partnership with the famous watch brand Richard Mille.

This is not an isolated case, as in 2025 alone, the Geneva region recorded 18 similar occurrences.

Alain Prost was present on the Formula 1 grid in 13 seasons, with four titles won in 1985, 1986, 1989 and 1993. In total, he represented four teams throughout his career: Renault, McLaren, Ferrari and Williams.
