After winning the auction, EcoRodovias begins implementing a concession in MG
After winning the Rota das Gerais auction in March this year, EcoRodovias began this Monday (08) the implementation of Ecovias das Gerais, a new concessionaire responsible for the concession of sections of BR-116 and BR-251
The beginning takes place after the signature by the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) in the Official Gazette of the Union, representing the conclusion of the process started with the company's victory in the auction held on March 31st.
At the event, Ecorodovias presented a proposal with a 19% discount on the basic toll rate and a contribution of R$84.35 million.
The contract has a duration of 30 years and includes 734.9 kilometers of federal highways, intended for pavement recovery, duplication, implementation of additional lanes and road safety improvements on the stretch, which crosses 13 municipalities, including: Governador Valadares, Montes Claros, Teófilo Otoni, and Salinas.
Among the planned interventions are 186.5 kilometers of duplications, 160 kilometers of additional lanes, 16.8 kilometers of urban contours and 11.4 kilometers of marginal roads.
The stretch is considered strategic for the flow of production and logistical integration in the region.
At the time of the auction, the company stated that winning the concession "is in line with the company's selective growth strategy."
With this asset, EcoRodovias now has 12 highway concessions, totaling more than 5,000 km of highways under its management.
The project also includes duplication works, additional lanes, urban contours, marginal roads, walkways, access adaptations, wildlife crossings and monitoring and operation systems.
