Sales of the Arsenal shirt personalized with Gabriel Magalhães' name and number soared by 350% after the Champions League final.
According to the North American newspaper "The New York Times", Arsenal fans showed support for the Brazilian defender after he missed the decisive penalty in the tournament's final. In response, thousands of fans started to buy the defender's personalized shirt, in a gesture of solidarity with the player.
Despite the support of the fans, the defeat in the final prevented Arsenal from winning the first Champions League title in their history.
