After denouncing the 'kidnapping' of a South Korean citizen, the president of South Korea celebrates his release

The president of South Korea, Lee Jae-myung, denounced the kidnapping of a South Korean citizen by Israel on Wednesday (20). According to the president, the seizure occurred under "unfair circumstances under international law." This Thursday (21), Jae-myung celebrated the release of citizens detained by Israel. It is unclear how many were initially arrested.
"Israel's action was excessive. It went way beyond the limit," said Jae-myung when he learned of the arrests.
The president also said that most European countries would like to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. "We must also make our own judgment," he added.
The circumstances of the arrest were not clear.
According to the South Korean agency Yonhap, the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that a South Korean vessel was crossing the Strait of Hormuz. The crossing would be taking place in cooperation with Iranian authorities, Reuters reported.
