After Brazil's defeat in the World Cup, Anavitória's song reaches peak searches

The Brazilian team was eliminated from the 2026 World Cup, last Sunday night (6), after missing a decisive penalty and opening up a margin in defense for the Norwegian squad to score two goals.

Although Neymar Jr., 34, managed to score a point in the last minutes of stoppage time with a set piece, Erling Haaland's two goals, scored in regular time, secured the victory for the European country.

Soon after the end of the match, searches for the song "Tenta viver", by the duo Anavitória, reached a new peak in searches on Google browsers, according to data from Google Trends, which counts the number of searches carried out by term on the platforms in a given period, collected by CNN Brasil.

In 2022, when the country was eliminated from the competition in the quarter-finals by Luka Modrić's Croatia, the track became one of the soundtracks of the disappointing moment for fans. As before, on social media, the song appeared in several edits and montages that dramatized the defeat.

A second graph made available by the platform also confirmed that searches for the title, or for specific excerpts of the Brazilian song, began to rise right at the end of the match, a moment in which Brazilians faced what the result in the game represented.

Now, the Latin country is heading towards the longest period of lack of victories in the World Cup cup since the first championship was won in 1958. In 2030, the squad's next chance to win the sixth title, the Brazilian team will complete 28 years without a title.
