During last Wednesday (10), the winger of the Corinthians Under-17 futsal team, Miguel Cosmo, was honored by the city council of Mogi das Cruzes for having won the Taça Brasil in the category of the sport - Special Division. Born in 2010, the athlete was awarded Motion No. 65/2026, which refers to "Votes of applause and congratulations" after standing out in the competition.

In the tournament, which took place between May 25th and 31st in Espírito Santo, the player distributed six assists. Throughout the Taça Brasil, Corinthians achieved 100% success. In the first phase, they beat Limoeiro, from Ceará, 3 x 0, AJJR Futsal, from the Federal District, by a score of 7 x 2, in addition to beating Goiorê, from Paraná, by 5 x 1. In turn, in the semi-final, they were unaware of Craque 10, from Paraíba, winning 7 x 2. In the decision, they beat Jaraguá by a score of 1 x 0.

"Miguel is the result of Mogi and is shining at national level, for a great team like Corinthians. The team is honored to have a Mogian in its main team, and not the other way around. Before Corinthians, this young talent played for Santos and Juventus da Moóca. This honor recognizes the efforts of both Miguel and his parents. After all, the family base makes all the difference in our lives", said councilor Bi Gêmeos, creator of the tribute.

Miguel arrived at Corinthians at the beginning of 2025 after playing for Santos and Juventus. He was part of the U16 state champion squad. In the current season, Timãozinho is undefeated in the category tournament, accumulating four wins and four draws - undefeated.
