After a complaint, Gaviões da Fiel takes a stand and demands the removal of vice-president of Corinthians

This Saturday morning (6), Corinthians' main organized fans, the Gaviões da Fiel, demonstrated through an official statement on social media and demanded the removal of vice-president Armando Mendonça. It is worth remembering that, last Tuesday (3), the director was denounced by the Public Ministry of São Paulo for misappropriation, qualified theft through abuse of trust and coercion in the case of the diversion of Nike sports equipment.
Central do Timão obtained access to the complaint, based on the internal audit carried out by Corinthians, and it states that Armando had appropriated 131 Nike sports items belonging to Corinthians between June and October 2025. Among the materials listed are 100 shirts, nine blouses, nine pants, six pairs of sneakers, four shorts, two suitcases and a backpack taken from the warehouses of Parque São Jorge and the Joaquim Training Center Record.

The MP argues that the products were obtained due to the position held by the manager and that they would have been intended for his own use or distribution to third parties without formal authorization. Furthermore, prosecutor Cássio Conserino accuses the director of trying to appropriate another 19 NFL shirts related to the event held by Corinthians in partnership with the American football league.
The document also holds Armando responsible for stealing eight NFL jerseys through abuse of trust. According to the accusation, the pieces were removed without formalizing the internal rules normally required by the club. Last Friday (5), a group of Corinthians advisors and associates, based on the MP-SP's complaint, filed a request with the Court requesting the vice-president's removal from his duties.
Last Tuesday (2), the vice-president obtained an injunction in court that determined the suspension of the ethical-disciplinary process initiated against him at Corinthians. In the decision, the judge understood that there was sufficient evidence of possible irregularities in the conduct of the procedure and ordered the immediate suspension of the deadline for presenting a defense, as well as all acts of instruction, judgment and deliberation related to the case.
In a note, the Corinthians organizers precisely cite the MP-SP's complaint to the vice-president involving the Nike case, stating that the internal investigations carried out by Corinthians through an audit point to relevant irregularities, which ends up compromising the credibility of the club's current management.
In this way, the Gaviões understand that Armando Mendonça is no longer able to perform the role of vice-president of the club in light of the accusations attributed to the agent. The organizer also highlights that the leader defended the removal of Augusto Melo from the presidency after the developments in the VaideBet case and asks for Armando's coherence for a thought he has previously supported.
The fans conclude by highlighting that Corinthians is above any individual interest and that the club's history must prevail.

We reaffirm that Corinthians is above any individual interest. Transparency, ethics and respect for its history must prevail. Therefore, we reiterate the demand for immediate removal, as a necessary measure to protect the institution and preserve its credibility.
