Actress Sophia Valverde will play Maraisa in a film
Actress Sophia Valverde, 20 years old, confirmed, on her social networks, that she will give life to the character of singer Maraisa, from the duo with Maiara, in the new film about the life of country girl Marília Mendonça from Goiás. Maraisa and Maiara were close to the singer, who died in a plane crash in November 2021. Together, they announced the "Festival das Patroas" tour in October of the year of the accident.
The announcement about the film's cast was made by Amazon Prime Vídeo in June, but Sophia Valverde's role was only confirmed by her on Tuesday (30). In the publication, Sophia celebrated the role and stated that she was even happier for being a fan of the singers.
"I can finally share with you that I will be playing Maraisa in the biopic of queen Marília Mendonça [...]. A more than special gift that I received, being able to play someone that I have always been a fan of and that I love", she wrote.

In addition to her, the cast also includes names like Hermila Guedes, Klara Castanho, Marcelo Serrado, Sophia Valverde, Daniel Haidar, Alejandro Claveaux, George Sauma, André Torquato, Luccas Oliver, Igor Armucho, Davi Bensá, Marcus Gouveia.
In the prominent role of singer Marília Mendonça, there is the actress from Goiás, Marina Versos, aged 24. Marina has a degree in Art Direction from the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), and theater from Escola Basileu França and is originally from Goiânia.

Marília, Maiara and Maraisa released an album together under the name "Patroas", in 2020. The release was born from a party held by the singers in 2016. Together, they would also go on tour in 2022 to tell the story of their friendship with the project "As Bosses."
The dream was interrupted after a plane crash caused the death of the queen of suffering, a month after the announcement of the tour, made in October 2021.

Marília Mendonça was born in Cristianópolis on July 22, 1995. Among her great hits, which made her one of the most listened to singers in the country, are "Infiel", "Whose fault is it?" and "I know it by heart".
