An accident between a train and a school bus in Belgium left four people dead this Tuesday (26).
According to Belgian broadcaster RTL, the country's Transport Minister, Jean-Luc Crucke, reported that the fatal victims were two teenagers, the bus driver and another adult.
The accident happened in Buggenhout, in the Flanders region, at a level crossing, Frédéric Sacré, spokesman for Infrabel, the company that manages the Belgian railway network, told AFP.
The collision happened "at 8:08 am (local time). A minibus was hit by a train that was supposed to stop at the next station, which was approximately one kilometer away. The impact was extremely violent," he said.
Jean-Luc Crucke said that security cameras at the scene showed that the level crossing gates were already closed at the time of the collision.
