A$AP Rocky comments on shooting at his mansion with Rihanna: "It took away the peace"

Rapper A$AP Rocky, 37, spoke for the first time about the shooting that took place at his mansion, where he lives with Rihanna and their three children, in Beverly Hills. In March of this year, a woman fired shots into the house using an AR-15-style rifle and was later charged with attempted murder. In an interview with the "Vibe" podcast, the artist opened up about how the incident affected his family.

"It robbed me of a lot of peace and the happiness of simply being able to be free," he reported. "I don't want my peace and joy to be robbed. It was horrible. It was painful. All that shit was scary, you know? Someone tried to attack me and my family", lamented the artist.

Before the shooting, the woman, identified as Ivanna Oriz, had already made threats on Rihanna's social media, with whom the rapper has a six-year relationship and three children: RZA, 3 years old, Riot, 2 years old and Rocki, 8 months old. Rocky lamented the harassment from fans, even before the internet, and that, despite knowing that many want to reach out in a friendly way, some people have bad intentions.

"Even with a great security team, it's scary to realize that something like this could still happen," he declared. "Rihanna heard the gunshots, but was initially confused about what had happened. She didn't understand why someone would attack her family."

Still in March, Ivanna pleaded not guilty in the case. She is being represented by a Los Angeles public defender and could be sentenced to life in prison, according to the BBC. She also faces 10 other charges and remains in prison.
