With almost 25 years of existence, Primavera Sound Barcelona has gained a reputation for being a cool and high-spirited festival, a little less mainstream than the huge Glastonbury and Coachella.
g1 went to the 2026 edition of the Spanish festival, which featured a surprise show by Olivia Rodrigo (with the participation of Robert Smith!), The Cure, Gorillaz and more than 150 large, medium and small attractions.

Little Simz

An exponent of British rap, Little Simz gave a show of charisma at the festival in Barcelona. It's not a simple task (for a rapper, especially) to engage those who don't know the lyrics, but Simz made it look easy. It helped that she had a live band, perfecting the percussion as she skillfully belted out the verses.
She danced, sang, played, was moved. At one point, he took over the DJ truck and got everyone dancing. With her repertoire and quality, it's a shame she doesn't have plans to come to Brazil - but when she does, it's unmissable.

The band of the moment may not be the favorite of many but, at Primavera Sound Barcelona, it was the talk of the majority. The group performed on the first day of the event and received a storm as a gift (the shows that were to come later were canceled due to the weather, meaning Geese ended up "promoted" to the main attraction).
The result was a great show, with the drama of the torrential rain. There was mosh, shouting from the public and a blasé Cameron Winter (vocalist), but completely playing the role of frontman. There is no lack of expectation for their possible debut in Brazil, but with this show, it only increased.

The big question about Pinkpantheress is not whether the show is worth it, but why she hasn't come to the country until today. The British producer and singer, who has only grown since the pandemic, performed on a smaller stage in Barcelona - barely room for the audience that came to see her in droves.
Her show is full of good humor and style, as well as the neatness of the screens, choreography and transitions. The appeal for someone to bring her once and for all is recorded.
Wet Leg

When they came to Brazil for the first time (at The Town 2023), Wet Leg was still a beginner and shy band, with just one album in their repertoire.
Now, it's practically another group - vocalist Rhian Teasdale has completely assumed the role of frontwoman, without shyness and performing like never before. The show also has room for humor, good guitar riffs and acidic new songs. The band has already accumulated a significant audience, but it still gives that feeling of seeing a star emerge.
Sudan Archives

Violinist and singer Sudan Archives is the only one on this list who (phew!) has a date to come to Brazil: she will be at Balaclava Fest, on September 27th, in São Paulo. And it's definitely worth seeing.
In Barcelona, Sudan appeared alone on stage, dressed as some kind of mystical being. She performed a hypnotic and vibrant show, alternating between the violin, a controller and the microphone. At the end of the performance, he went down among the crowd and had a big party, ending with the energy up there.
