27-year-old influencer is victim of feminicide in Ceará

Influencer Ana Karoline de Sousa Rocha, aged 27, was the victim of femicide last Saturday (4), in Horizonte, in the metropolitan region of Fortaleza (CE).

According to the SSPDS-CE (Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense of Ceará), the victim died as a result of injuries caused by a sharp object.

On the same day as the crime, the Civil Police of Ceará arrested a 26-year-old man, suspected of involvement in the feminicide.

Military Police and Forensic Expert teams were called to respond to the incident. The case is investigated by the Horizonte Civil Police Station.

According to the SSPDS-CE, the suspect was charged with feminicide and placed before the courts.

On social media, the influencer's sister mourned the death of Ana Karoline. In one post, she shared a message about violence against women:

"As you read this text, another woman is being beaten. Another is scared. Another may not survive."
