The Brazilian team takes the field this Friday (19) against Haiti in the second round of the 2026 World Cup. In addition to the technical difference, since Brazil is a team full of players who play in big teams, another disparity draws attention: the extreme difference in value between the teams.

According to Transfermarket - a website specializing in football market values -, the modest Haitian team is worth, in the sum of all 26 players, 55.95 million euros (around R$330 million, at current prices).
Its most valuable player is Wilson Isidor, Sunderland's center forward, who is valued at 18 million euros (R$106 million).
Now, when we look at the Brazilian team's squad, there is no shortage of high values.
In total, Carlo Ancelotti's team is worth 928.20 million euros (approximately R$ 5.47 billion) - still only coming in sixth place among the most valuable teams at this World Cup.
The Brazilian with the highest market value is Vini Jr., valued alone at 140 million euros (R$825 million). In other words, at least three Haitian teams would be needed to overcome the value of the Brazilian team's number 7.
It remains to be seen, in tonight's match, whether the difference between the teams will be restricted to numbers or whether Brazil will assert its superiority on the field to achieve its first victory in this World Cup.
