The 2026 World Cup is approaching and already has defined start and end dates. The tournament will be played between June 11th and July 19th, 2026, in a historic edition held jointly by the United States, Canada and Mexico.
American TV website lists the 25 best players in the World Cup, with only two Brazilians
The opening match will take place on Thursday, June 11th, at the traditional Azteca Stadium, in Mexico City. The inaugural duel will have the Mexican team on the field against the South African team.
The grand final is scheduled for Sunday, July 19, at the MetLife Stadium, in New Jersey, in the United States.
The dispute for third place will be held one day before the decision, on July 18, at the Hard Rock Stadium, in Miami.

The 2026 edition will be the first in history with 48 participating teams. With the new format, the World Cup will have 104 matches played over just over a month.
In addition to expanding the number of teams, the competition will also have more host cities and a longer interval between the decisive phases. FIFA expects the tournament to be the biggest ever in terms of attendance and global audience.
