The new leader of the PT in the Senate, Camilo Santana (CE), stated this Wednesday (8) that he will work to "relax" the relationship between the Executive and the Senate. According to him, the moment is to seek dialogue and "soon" there will be a conversation between President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and the President of the Senate, Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP).

"We are going to work so that we can, once and for all, relax and overcome this relationship between the two presidents. We have important agendas in the Senate. The end of the 6x1 scale is one of them", he told journalists.

The relationship between Planalto and Alcolumbre was subject to deterioration after the Senate rejected the nomination of Jorge Messias for a vacancy on the STF (Supreme Federal Court), at the end of April. A meeting between the head of the Executive and the senator has been expected for weeks by government allies.
