See which US Navy ships are close to Iran amid attacks

As of Wednesday (8), the US Navy kept at least 19 warships near Iran as the US launched a new wave of attacks, the force told CNN.

The Navy reported that all 19 vessels were in the northern Arabian Sea. They are:

Earlier, CENTCOM (US Central Command) stated, in a post on the social network X, that more than 20 warships are patrolling the waters of the Middle East.

According to the American Armed Forces, the deployment aims to promote regional security and stability.

New attacks
CENTCOM reported on Wednesday that the US Armed Forces were carrying out new attacks against Iran, hours after US President Donald Trump declared that the interim agreement to end the war with Iran had "ended".

In a post on the social network

"The United States holds Iran responsible for recent unwarranted aggression against commercial ships and civilian crews sailing freely in a vital international waterway," Central Command wrote.

CNN has reached out to Central Command for more information about the attacks.

Moments earlier, Iran's semi-official Fars news agency had reported that several explosions were heard near the coastal cities of Bandar Abbas and Sirik.
