Trump talks about 'major attack' against Iran
Eight Iranian soldiers died during the latest US attack against Iran carried out last Tuesday (7), according to Iranian state media. The victims belonged to the Air Force and Navy and died during bombings in the cities of Bandar Abbas and Bushehr.
The countries broke the ceasefire established in June after the Americans accused Tehran of attacking three cargo ships that crossed the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the Central Command of the American Armed Forces (Centcom), the offensive aimed to impose "high costs" on Iran for attacking commercial vessels manned by civilians in one of the world's main shipping routes.
Earlier, Iran stated that it would close the Strait of Hormuz if new attacks against the country took place.
The route is an important maritime route through which 20% of all world oil exports pass, it was reopened after the signing of a draft understanding between Iran and the USA last month.
According to the country's state TV, Tehran must also attack "enemy" targets in a ratio of at least two to one, if the threats made by the president of the United States, Donald Trump, during the NATO summit, come true.

Trump's threats
Shortly before, the president of the United States announced that he would launch a "major attack" against Iran on Wednesday night (8).
Trump, who earlier told reporters that the peace agreement signed with Tehran is "over" and that he no longer wants dialogue, lowered his tone and said he was "not sure if the agreement will hold" when speaking with reporters ahead of a bilateral meeting with the president of Ukraine. He also condemned the fact that Iran, according to him, sank 28 vessels this Tuesday (7).
"I'll give you a little warning: we're going to attack them hard tonight," he told reporters, adding: "If necessary, we'll cut off the electricity system and the water treatment plants, but we don't want that."

Trump's speeches take place in the midst of the NATO summit in Türkiye. According to the US president, due to the resumption of exchange of attacks, the US blockade of the Strait of Hormuz may be resumed and the alliance countries have agreed to send minehunting vessels to help free the route.
Trump also revealed that Kharg Island, which concentrates around 90% of Iranian oil exports, was one of the targets hit by the US attacks this Tuesday, but that he gave an order that reservoirs not be affected.
"We attacked the island of Kharg yesterday, and I said, 'Don't touch the oil,' because we might take the island and there's nothing they can do about it," he declared.
The two countries are officially in the midst of a ceasefire after signing a preliminary peace agreement in June.
On Tuesday night, however, US Central Command launched an offensive against Iran in response to attacks on commercial ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
