Star of successful films from the 1990s, Joan Cusack, 63, revealed why she spent 6 years away from film productions. The artist spoke about the subject at the premiere of "Toy Story 5", which took place at the Dolby Theater, in Los Angeles, on June 9.


The artist stated that she always liked working in films, but felt she needed to focus on her family.


"I feel so honored to have been able to work in this industry for so long, but it's also wonderful to live your life, raise your kids, be in Chicago and be an ordinary person. That's priceless," she told Variety.

Joan Cusack has voiced the character Jessie in the "Toy Story" films since the character's appearance in 1999. She returned to the role as well as the voices of the franchise's main characters, such as Tom Hanks as Woody and Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear.


The film will premiere in Brazilian cinemas next Thursday (18).

Sister of fellow actor John Cusack, Joan acted in successful films such as "A Secretary from the Future" (1988), a role for which she received an Oscar nomination for best actress, as well as the comedies "The Addams Family 2" (1993) and "School of Rock" (2003).
