The 2026 World Cup officially starts this Thursday (11). This World Cup goes down in history as the first to be held in three host countries - the United States, Mexico and Canada - and with three opening ceremonies.

The first of them took place this Thursday (11) at the Azteca Stadium, in Mexico City. Alejandro Fernández, Belinda, Danny Ocean, J Balvin, Lila Downs, Los Ángeles Azules, Maná and Tyla performed. In addition to them, Shakira and Burna Boy performed the official song of the tournament.
When will Anitta perform?
Brazilian Anitta is one of the attractions at the last opening ceremony, held in the United States, this Friday (12), at the SoFi Stadium, in Los Angeles. The event starts around 90 minutes before the match between the United States and Paraguay, scheduled for 10pm (Brasília time).
In addition to the Brazilian, the show will feature performances by Katy Perry, Lisa (BLACKPINK), Rema and Future. In Canada, the opening ceremony takes place earlier, at 2:30 pm, in Toronto, with shows by Alanis Morissette and Michael Bublé, before the duel between Canada and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The three opening ceremonies of the World Cup are produced by the Italian Marco Balich, responsible for the opening of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
Shakira is also confirmed in the halftime show of the World Cup final, alongside Madonna and the South Korean band BTS, in a format inspired by the Super Bowl.
