Sirens warning of an imminent threat are sounding in Bahrain, the country's Ministry of Interior reported on the social network X, on Wednesday night (8).


"Citizens and residents are urged to remain calm and move to the nearest safe location," the post said.


Bahrain, home to the headquarters of the US Fifth Fleet, has been a frequent target of Iranian attacks in recent days.

Iranian officials warned of a response after the most recent US strikes against Iran, which took place on Wednesday night.


New US offensive
Late this Wednesday afternoon, CENTCOM (US Central Command) reported that the United States military was carrying out new attacks against Iran.


The offensive came hours after US President Donald Trump declared that the interim agreement to end the war with Iran had "ended".

In a post on the social network

"The United States holds Iran responsible for recent unwarranted aggression against commercial ships and civilian crews sailing freely in a vital international waterway," Central Command wrote.
